2023 Scottsdale Headache Symposium
Since the inaugural meeting in 1970, the Scottsdale Headache Symposium® continues to be a successful venue for providing practical, clinical, evidence-based information on the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients with headache.
COURSE INSTRUCTIONS:
Live and virtual meeting attendees who joined us last month in Scottsdale have complimentary access to the recorded content within this course. Please create a VISITOR account using the email address you registered with, or login as a VISITOR using the credentials created during the 65th Annual Scientific Meeting. Once logged in, click "Take Course" to access recorded content, complete the meeting evaluation, and claim CME.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLAIMING CME:
- Complete the post-activity evaluation. We suggest you wait to complete the evaluation/claim credit until you’ve watched all recorded sessions for which credit is sought.
- For ABPN Self Assessment Credit, complete the short ABPN Self-Assessment Quiz
- Enter the number of CME credits being claimed per credit type
- Download your certificate (be sure to select AMA credit [MD/DOs] or Participation credit [all others] to access a certificate).

Target Audience
The Symposium is designed for general practitioners, internists, pediatricians, neurologists, anesthesiologists, dentists, physical therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other health professionals who treat headache. Education is presented in didactic, case-based, evidence-based, panel and demonstrative formats over the course of four days.

At the conclusion of the American Headache Society’s 2023 Scottsdale Headache Symposium, participants will be able to:
- Apply knowledge of the diagnosis, epidemiology, and treatment of headache disorders in adults and children in clinical practice and research
- Apply cutting-edge approaches to the assessment of outcomes in clinical practice
- Develop strategies for the treatment of refractory headaches and headaches during pregnancy
- Incorporate processes to comply with new documentation requirements and enhance employee retention

The American Headache Society® is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
The American Headache Society® designates this Other activity (live and recorded sessions) for a maximum of 42.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
ABPN
THE AMERICAN BOARD OF PSYCHIATRY AND NEUROLOGY HAS REVIEWED THE 2023 SCOTTSDALE HEADACHE SYMPOSIUM AND HAS APPROVED THIS ACTIVITY AS PART OF A COMPREHENSIVE SELF-ASSESSMENT (SA) CME ACTIVITY, WHICH IS MANDATED BY THE ABMS AS A NECESSARY COMPONENT OF CONTINUING CERTIFICATION.
This activity awards up to 42.5 Category 1 CME credits as Self-Assessment CME credits. The approval period is for November 16-19, 2023. SA activity available until 5/20/2024.
AAFP
The AAFP has reviewed 2023 Scottsdale Headache Symposium and deemed it acceptable for up to 22.75 Live AAFP Elective credits. Term of Approval is from 11/16/2023 to 11/19/2023. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
